Snyder Foreman: Kevin Richardson The Shamokin City Department of Public Works, headed by Councilman Michael A. Snyder, has a wide array of responsibilities. Some of its duties are: curbside collection of recyclables, pick up of yard waste and municipal garbage, patching of potholes, placement of various road signs such as stop signs and restricted parking signs, cleaning and grass cutting duties associated with the various city owned properties. In addition, the department paints regulatory street markings and driveway lines, repairs curbs and storm drains, plows snow and operates the street sweeper.
